Global Online Match Festa Part 1. Revolution Global Explanation
  • Revolution Global 1st Challenge: April 3, 2024 (WED) 8pm PST ~ April 15, 2024 (MON) 8pm PST
  • Revolution Global 2nd Challenge: April 17, 2024 (WED) 8pm PST ~ April 29, 2024 (MON) 8pm PST
  • Continental Finals: May 19, 2024 (SUN)
  • Schedule and Information TBA

Revolution is an online match system that ranks players based on winning streaks.

However, for Global Online Match Festa a point system has been developed to make it easier for players to climb the ranks even if they aren’t able to maintain a winning streak.

There will be a dedicated Revolution tab on the machine menu as well as a banner on the main screen which players can click on directly.

To enter the Revolution system, players must click on the Revolution menu tab and then login with their Phoenix Online Card, Smart Check-In, or Face Check-In (on the VSX).

All Phoenix Online Card holders can participate in this event at any shop installed with a VSX, VSC4, VSS, VSP-S or VSP machine.

Revolution Global is split into three stages: 1st Challenge and 2nd Challenge, and a Continental Final.

  • Revolution Global 1st Challenge: April 3, 2024 (WED) 8pm PST ~ April 15, 2024 (MON) 8pm PST
  • Revolution Global 2nd Challenge: April 17, 2024 (WED) 8pm PST ~ April 29, 2024 (MON) 8pm PST
  • Continental Finals: May 19, 2024 (SUN)

The Top 8 players from each division from the 1st and 2nd Challenges (16 players per division total) will qualify for the Continental Final. The US and Canada will participate in this event together, so the 16 players per division can be from either country.

Players may join both Challenges or only one. Participation in the 1st Challenge is not required to join the 2nd Challenge and vice versa. However, in the event that duplicate entries from the same account advance to the Continental Finals, only 1 will advance along with the next-ranked player from the 2nd Challenge.

EXAMPLE (32-Player Bracket):
Account A (Card 1) – BRONZE, 10th Place; Account A (Card 2) – BRONZE, 16th Place. Only one card is accepted, so the lower-ranked (16th Place) card is excluded and the player ranked 33rd advances.

DIVISIONS:

Player divisions will be automatically assigned based on the rating of the card used to join the event. According to the player’s division, they will compete with other players of a similar skill level.

  • PLATINUM
  • GOLD
  • SILVER
  • BRONZE
  • IRON

Because the divisions are based on card rating, to help prevent sandbagging/cheating there will be a promotion system to reassign players who consistently exceed the standards set for their division.

Promotion Criteria: If a player consistently exceeds the standards set for each division, they will be automatically promoted to a higher division. When automatic promotion occurs, a player’s points and win rate will reset, but the number of games and PPD/MPR will remain.

Revolution is similar to Global Online Match but it records winning streaks as well as player points for rankings.

During the 1st and 2nd Challenges, players in all divisions will be able to choose between 501 and Standard Cricket as the format for online matches.
* 501 Game = OI/OO, BULL: 50/50, 15 Rounds
* S. Cricket = 15 Rounds
* First Throw: by Coin Toss

Players will receive points for their participation as well as based on their win/loss. These points will determine their ranking in the leaderboards.

WIN POINTS = 2 Points
PLAY POINTS (Participation Points) = 1 Point

Example Scenario:
1. The winner of the match would receive 3 points total (2 win points and 1 play point).
2. The loser of the match would receive 1 point total (1 play point).

In the case of a tie, ranking will be decided based on the following criteria: Number of Points > Win Rate > Rating > Number of Games Played
